What is important to you or of value to you when you spend your money on spa services and/or spa products?:

I want to feel better about myself and even look better as a result. I am at the point now where I want to review what other services (body treatments, spa packages) GDS has to offer beyond the one hour massage I enjoy. The money I spend represents disposable income. For example, I may reduce the amount of time I spend on the golf course to enjoy a relaxing hour or two at GDS.

Simply put, the level of service. There is nothing like walking into a spa and being treated as if you are the only client that has been serviced that day and your presence is valued. Being treated kindly and shown that you are "valued" is very important and the Greenleaf "Team" definitely has that level of service, period!
Amy F.

I like to know that the individuals performing the service are qualified and trained as well as very knowledgeable about the products and services being sold. I also like to know that they use the products that are being promoted and sold.
Christy M.

No matter what I'm spending my money on I always expect to get full value in exchange for it. I don't seek out 'expensive' and I don't seek out 'low priced.' I seek out good value in both products and services.
Dianah F.

I want to feel that I have had a massage. I don't mind spending my money for a service and products that are professional. I want the person to listen to me, especially if I am hurting in a particular area, and if it takes the hour to relieve that pain that is what I expect them to work on , not what they want to do. I like therapist who is not afraid to touch you, but must be professional.

Results...I want to be able to know that when I leave, I am getting what I need to help me get through the next few weeks of daily activities without being hindered by headaches.
Elizabeth F.

A high quality trained and licensed massage therapist who devotes herself to the particular needs of her clients and who is able to communicate well. A highly skilled massage therapist is able to independently know when to provide swedish massage or deep tissue therapy, or a combination thereof, depending on the needs of the client at any time with little to no prompting. The ability of a massage therapist to understand and provide immediate stress relief and total relaxation to the client itself defines a well qualified world class spa experience.

When spending money on spa services, I always look for quality. When getting a massage, I don't mind spending additional money to get amassage from someone with excellent training, that understands my problems, works to alleviate them, and someone with whom I have a comfortable professional relationship. When getting a facial, I want to know that a quality product line is being used and that the product best suits my individual skin type. The same thing can be said when getting my hair cut or colored.I also look for a clean facility and equipment. I always ask technicians about their training and education. I want to know that the technician attended a quality program and keeps current on changes in the field by regularly attending conferences and workshops.

The attention to detail and feeling at ease and welcome.

The customer service is of the utmost importance to me! I want to know that I can relax when I schedule an appointment and not be expected to talk to the esthetician or massage therapist about my life or other world events. I want a quiet environment that provides attention to my senses through aromatherapy and the attention given to each detail in the spa -- color of the walls, the dimming of the lights, candles. These things are part of the package that I insist on having for myself when I go to a day spa.
Julie C.

A quiet atmosphere, pleasant aromas, a technician that knows what he/she is doing and is confident in their work, a professional staff and feeling like I got my moneys worth when I pay the tab. When receiving a facial, I like to see a visible difference in my skin, not just a relaxing hour with an esthetician.
Julie H.

Quality. I have had massages at other spas and I feel I know the difference. Getting to know the therapist on a personal basis is a big plus. He knows where the usual problems arise and if there are new ones, he knows what to do about them. I guess that is why trust becomes a factor when choosing a spa.
Karen L.

Important to me are: atmosphere (relaxing, smell, music), the people who work at the spa (quiet, certified, good at their jobs, easy to work with, quick response), treating me with respect, being on time with their appointments.
Kathy G.

Feeling comfortable with my therapist is very important... you have to feel comfortable with the person who sees that much of you unclothed!! Also when I spend money on massage I want to see benefits such as a decrease in headaches, back tightness, or whatever other issues I am seeking to benefit from with massage.
Keri M.

When I spend my time and money on going to a spa I want to feel like the service has been a thorough one. No cutting corners or running short on time. It is important to me that the owners/employees are friendly. I want to feel that the establishment appreciates me as a customer and offers me the best service they possibly can. As far as spa products, I will inquire and usually place my confidence in the spa and the products they choose to offer. I do feel that it is a spas responsibility to research and survey the products they sell in order to ensure that they are of the highest quality.

Quality of service and products.

Energy and lack of discomfort.
Linda C.

I know that I am purchasing a product that has been recommended just for my skin type and the assurance that the products are all natural and plant based: no harsh chemicals. I like a friendly staff and someone that shows they really care about what is going on with you right now. They focus on your individual needs and you are not getting a "cookie cutter" session. You feel special.
Linda V.

I expect a massage to actually be effective, and to feel much better the next day, which is more important than whether it's enjoyable or not. I like for the products used for the massage to be natural.
Lisa T.

I expect a mixture of a professional environment (promptness, tidy surroundings) along with the soothing qualities that make a great spa. I also like to know exactly what treatments I am getting and what they entail beforehand. I want to feel comfortable but also like this is worth spending my time and money on. Spa treatments are not cheap and therefore you want the experience to make it worth it for you. I totally believe that is possible simply by receiving a thorough and really meaningful session. Staff members can do this by being really appropriate, helpful, and professional, as well as knowledgeable in their field. I like to feel like whoever is working with me knows what they are doing.
Lydie W.

The value to me is to feel great when you come out of the spa. That you spent your money on yourself and for the care of your skin and/or body. When getting the proper procedures in a spa, you want to have people who understand you and help you decide what is right for you.
Lynne I.

Going to the spa, for me, is like going to the doctor for most. My body needs to relax and unwind in order to be healthy. When I go to the spa, I expect a high quality experience. I expect to be welcomed back and have the therapist remember my specific situation. I do not want to be treated like just another client.
Michelle W.

That I love them. I truly can say that most of the products that you sell and use are awesome.
Missy W.

Individual attention. Awareness of my state of mind and being. Focus on achieving a healthy mind/body/spirit care. The expertise and qualifications of those who treat me.
Pam B.

What is important to me is the health benefits I receive from regular massage. Regular massage enables me to continue working as a hygienist. without it...I am sure I would not be able to work full time as a hygienist. There are some hygienists who quit the profession because of the toll it takes on your body. Lots of aches and pains. Regular massage keeps those aches and pain to a minimum and also promotes health and healing of muscles that are used too much.
Patty W.

Being able to make an appointment when I'd like to; having a knowledgeable staff willing to work with my problem areas; good skin care products.
Rebecca U.

It is so important to me to completely relax and feel comfortable in a clean and serene environment since I have such a difficult time allowing myself this guilty pleasure. It is also important that they listen to my needs and concerns and act accordingly.
Rhonda H.

Being completely relaxed so that I don't think about anything.
Sarah B.

I look for a well trained professional who is interested in my health and well being. I want them to take the time to ask me questions as to what is going on in my life that may need attention. I want only top of the line products used on me during a facial and other spa services. I want a clean facility that I don't have to worry about.
Sheila B.

I feel that the money I spend on massage is money well spent, because I feel better overall and the effect of the massage last much longer than just being at the spa. I want a massage therapist that listens and is versatile enough to take care of what I need on that visit. It's also important that the atmosphere be relaxing, quite and meditative. A quite space with relaxing music and a pleasant aroma all aid in the effects of a good massage experience.
Sheryl F.

I just want to feel like I have gotten a quality treatment. I have never felt like someone was watching the clock at Greenleaf, rather I have felt like I was given the utmost attention. Because of this I feel completely relaxed and rejuvenated.
Stephanie S.

The ability to relax and feel relief when I leave your spa.
Tina F.

Quite, serene, time to truly unwind from the stresses of my cancer research job.
Wendy M.

I like to feel value. Meaning...if I am in pain and need a massage I know when I come to Greenleaf that Mark will work out the kinks. I also know that when I buy massage oil for a romantic evening with my husband that I am getting a quality product at a reasonable price.
Wendy S.
